Western Geisha Aesthetic Protocols
Contrary to popular belief the Geisha is not a prostitute but a very advanced comic performing artist:
Japan's Traditional Entertainer (Houkan/Taikomochi) ARAI, makes a comparison between TAIKOMOCHI and its European version "FOOL/JESTER" and the similarity between the two cultures. Here is a link with a comparative history of the The Art of the "Geisha" East and West.

This reading may assist you in understanding these High Performance Arts. Note, that in both East and West, it was the disenfranchised monks that became the mendicant entertainers and the originators of these two traditional popular forms of improvisational theater, or Comedia Dell'Arte.
Makeup and Wardrobe :
Note the nuanced white makeup of the Padmé Amidala (Character) from Star Wars: Episode I:
The Two White Dots (t.m.)
This make up for the apprentice geisha, is symbolic shorthand for the full face in nuanced white
the touch of white with the index finger on both cheeks:

VFU* Creative Commons - Performing Arts Workshop
Timetable:
We are indebted to Nick Mancuso and his Film and Television Acting Academy acting workshops, in Toronto in 2006, for the basic structure on which this timetable is fashioned:
The workshop will begin at 1 PM to 3 PM Saturdays, after a brief introduction to the mission statements of the performing arts workshop at VFU*, with a warm-up exercise session, conducted by an advanced geisha in training, which will include very basic yoga stretching, some freeform movement, breathing and voice exercises.
The instructor, an advanced performing artist, will then facilitate the introduction of all commedia dell'arte student / mentors, that are present, to each other and then present a talk on the subject of the day, with study updates and new information.
An advanced geisha in training will then divide the group up into teams that will then separate and elect a team leader, originate and perform improvisational scenes for the rest and be judged by peer group interaction.
There will be approximately a half-hour break, when the group decides it is needed, at which time it will be suggested that everyone will adjourn out side and perhaps take a brief meditation walk and reconvene for the second when refreshed.
Apprentice geisha well present at this time, their studies, performances and readings from scripts they have found inspirational and will be given feedback from the instructor and the group.
Geisha as escort in training, will then be assigned pseudo clients and engage them in improvisational dialogue that will simulate actual experience in the real world, and in preparation for it. At this time there will be direct coaching by the geisha master or instructor, who will also encouraged peer-to-peer interactive commentary and critique.
The formal study will adjourn when the group decides that it is time to do so, at which time announcements will be made about the future studies and questions answered. Apprentice geisha will be encouraged to bring several new guests to each study.
The final, and also very important session before closing, will be open social interchange of experience. At this time it will be suggested that anonymity be maintained and negative gossip and outside issues will be discouraged.
Volunteers will be asked to to help with a cleanup and rearrangement of chairs.
Some guidelines for geisha apprentice from:
"Everything is natural... no synthetics... zero tolerance on chemicals ... natural cloth for garments... whole and raw food... Everything is living... study movement... study breathing... walk with both feet on the ground, but do not touch the ground ... like an angel ...Beauty is truth ...Beauty is more in grace and charm than in rigid form ..it is nurtured by chastity and wisdom...clean in body and mind...the golden mean is the desirable middle between two extremes, one of excess and the other of deficiency...
Every Day is Christmas when you are "Clean & Sober" - Seasons Greetings
There is Only Now !!!"

"You pays your money and you takes your chance." Aldous Huxley from Brave New World
"We are not responsible for greenwashed surrogate avatars who are still hardwired to their implants, that think they can be reborn into an edenic virtual reality rain forest somewhere deep in cyberspace, while they are still paralyzed in cybernetic cryogenic suspension inside the technological beds or chairs, the vampire dis-ease establishment embryos, of the military industrial, governmental matrix."
